Hi, I'm Surabhi ๐Ÿ‘‹

I build things with curiosity, care, and a little bit of obsession.

Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

I build products from the UI all the way down to the systems that keep them running. I enjoy turning ambiguous problems into reliable, scalable, user-friendly software.

01 / About me

I like the whole picture.

I'm a full-stack engineer who genuinely enjoys understanding how all the pieces fit together: what the user sees, what happens behind an API, how data moves through a system, and what keeps everything reliable when things don't go as planned.

Over the years, I've worked across frontend, backend, APIs, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, automation, and more recently AI-assisted development. I enjoy taking an ambiguous problem, understanding what actually needs to be solved, and turning it into something people can use.

I'm naturally curious. If I don't understand how something works, I want to dig into it until I do. Outside engineering, I volunteer with Harmony Power, love cooking and experimenting with food, and care deeply about continuing to learn, contribute, and grow.

Build with care. Stay curious. Keep learning.

02 / Capabilities

My technical universe

Tools are only useful in context. Explore the systems I use to take an idea from first interaction to dependable infrastructure.

03 / Selected work

Engineering in practice

A few systems and products I've helped shape. Each started with a different kind of complexity.

02Backend architecture

Retail API

Built product-feed ingestion and decisioning services used for advertising experiences, with scheduled ingestion, caching, and multi-instance cloud deployments.

AI Page Rebuilder

Built an AI-assisted system that analyzes webpages and reconstructs their structure as React implementations using browser automation and LLM-assisted code generation.

04 / Engineering philosophy

How I like to work.

01

Own the problem, not just the ticket.

02

Simple systems beat clever systems.

03

Design for failure.

04

Understand the user before designing the architecture.

05

Automate repetitive work.

06

Keep learning.

05 / Beyond the code

There's more to me than code.

The best work is grounded in curiosity, community, and a life with room for things that matter beyond a screen.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

Proud to contribute to Harmony Power

I serve as Community Outreach Manager for Harmony Power, a nationally and internationally recognized anti-bullying leadership organization focused on empowering children, schools, and communities.

02

Cooking

I love cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and bringing people together over good food. I rarely follow a recipe exactly. I like understanding how ingredients work together, improvising along the way, and making something a little different each time.

03

Building with AI

I love experimenting with AI tools and exploring new ways to turn ideas into working software faster. From prototyping interfaces to debugging, research, and code generation, I use AI as a creative engineering partner while staying thoughtful about the architecture and decisions behind what I build.

04

I build things at home, too.

From replacing a dishwasher to configuring a Raspberry Pi, I enjoy figuring out how things work, solving practical problems, and learning by doing.

Sketching

Iโ€™ve always enjoyed sketching and drawing as a way to slow down, observe the little details, and create something by hand. I love seeing an idea gradually take shape on paper, one line at a time. It gives me a completely different kind of creative space away from a screen.

06 / Career journey

A career built layer by layer.

My career has evolved from engineering tools to full-stack products and distributed systems. Across each chapter, Iโ€™ve gravitated toward complex problems, end-to-end ownership, and building things people actually use.
